Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2016, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 14.7% compared to 2015, reaching 62,017.

Ireland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.1% (from 76,669 in 2011).
