In 2022, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 39.8% compared to 2021, reaching 62,284.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.9% (from 66,923 in 2017).
