Population structure indicators at national level

In 2016, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.8% compared to 2015, reaching 36.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 43.0.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.8% (from 34.5 in 2011).
