Population structure indicators at national level

In 2008, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level decreased by 0.6% compared to 2007, reaching 17.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.1.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 6.5% (from 18.5 in 2003).
