Population structure indicators at national level

In 2010, Ireland's population structure indicators at national level increased by 3.4% compared to 2009, reaching 18.3.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.8.

Ireland ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 0.5% (from 18.2 in 2005).
