Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2018, Ireland's main indicators decreased by 3.4% compared to 2017, reaching 7.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.3%.

Ireland ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 46.7% (from 4.9% in 2013).
