Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2018, Malta's main indicators increased by 17.5% compared to 2017, reaching 8.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.3%.

Malta ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 130.2% (from 3.5% in 2013).
