Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2025, Ireland's employment rates by educational attainment level increased by 0.1% compared to 2024, reaching 88.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 88.1%.

Ireland ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.1% (from 84.5% in 2020).
