In 2022, Ireland's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 9.4% compared to 2021, reaching 9,179.

Ireland ranks 14th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 51.1% (from 18,765 in 2017).
