Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2018, Ireland's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 4.2% compared to 2017, reaching 13.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Ireland ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 48.3% (from 26.7% in 2013).
