Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2023, Ireland's unemployment by sex and age increased by 5.9% compared to 2022, reaching 10.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.6%.

Ireland ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 22.5% (from 13.8% in 2018).
