At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2016, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.1% compared to 2015, reaching 15.3%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.3%.

Italy ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 10.0% (from 17.0% in 2011).
