At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2021, Italy's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.1% compared to 2020, reaching 15.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Italy ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.0% (from 15.3% in 2016).
