Population structure indicators at national level

In 2008, Italy's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.7% compared to 2007, reaching 42.6.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 40.6.

Italy ranks 2nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.6% (from 41.1 in 2003).
