Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2022, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 0.3% compared to 2021, reaching 18.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 23.0%.

Italy ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.1% (from 18.3% in 2017).
