Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Italy's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.9% compared to 2022, reaching 19.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 24.6%.

Italy ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 7.8% (from 17.8% in 2018).
