Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2009, Italy's main indicators increased by 52.9% compared to 2008, reaching 4.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 4.9%.

Italy ranks 12th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 229.7% (from 1.2% in 2004).
