Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Italy's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 6.5% compared to 2015, reaching 37.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Italy ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 29.1% (from 29.2% in 2011).
