Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Romania's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 5.1% compared to 2015, reaching 25.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Romania ranks 8th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.9% (from 29.4% in 2011).
