Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Latvia's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.1% compared to 2013, reaching 4.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.6%.

Latvia ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 115.8% (from 1.9% in 2009).
