In 2019, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 13.7% compared to 2018, reaching 4,210.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 587.9% (from 612 in 2014).
