In 2018, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 6.8% compared to 2017, reaching 4,877.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 410.7% (from 955 in 2013).
