In 2020, Latvia's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 9.7% compared to 2019, reaching 3,803.

Latvia ranks 19th out of 24 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 659.1% (from 501 in 2015).
