Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Lithuania's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 8.1% compared to 2006, reaching 15.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Lithuania ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 28.1% (from 22.1% in 2002).
