Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Lithuania's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 28.9% compared to 2019, reaching 45.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Lithuania ranks 20th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.3% (from 42.4% in 2015).
