Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2025, Lithuania's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 3.9% compared to 2024, reaching 39.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 81.7%.

Lithuania ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 13.9% (from 45.9% in 2020).
