Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2011, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 7.6% compared to 2010, reaching 4.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 23.3%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.5% (from 3.2% in 2006).
