Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2012, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 14.4% compared to 2011, reaching 4.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 25.1%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 41.0% (from 3.3% in 2007).
