Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 11.8% compared to 2013, reaching 6.0%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.6%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 45.1% (from 4.1% in 2009).
