Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 36.2% compared to 2013, reaching 5.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.6%.

Luxembourg ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 148.5% (from 2.2% in 2009).
