Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 1.8% compared to 2017, reaching 6.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 8.3%.

Luxembourg ranks 17th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 61.9% (from 4.1% in 2013).
