At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2014, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.9% compared to 2013, reaching 15.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.8%.

Malta ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.8% (from 14.3% in 2009).
