Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2021, Malta's police-recorded offences by offence category increased by 2.6% compared to 2020, reaching 3,504.

Malta ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 53.2% (from 7,484 in 2016).
