Population structure indicators at national level

In 2007, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2006, reaching 39.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.3.

Malta ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.4% (from 37.0 in 2002).
