Population structure indicators at national level

In 2008, Malta's population structure indicators at national level decreased by 0.5% compared to 2007, reaching 22.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.1.

Malta ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.7% (from 20.9 in 2003).
