Population structure indicators at national level

In 2010, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 4.9% compared to 2009, reaching 23.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.8.

Malta ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.8% (from 21.5 in 2005).
