Population structure indicators at national level

In 2014, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 3.6% compared to 2013, reaching 28.4.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 30.8.

Malta ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 26.2% (from 22.5 in 2009).
