Population structure indicators at national level

In 2018, Malta's population structure indicators at national level decreased by 1.0% compared to 2017, reaching 29.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 33.5.

Malta ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 8.0% (from 27.4 in 2013).
