Population structure indicators at national level

In 2019, Malta's population structure indicators at national level decreased by 2.0% compared to 2018, reaching 29.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1.

Malta ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.1% (from 28.4 in 2014).
