Population structure indicators at national level

In 2022, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.4% compared to 2021, reaching 29.5.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.0.

Malta ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 1.3% (from 29.9 in 2017).
