Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2019, Malta's main indicators decreased by 2.8% compared to 2018, reaching 7.5%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Malta ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 124.6% (from 3.3% in 2014).
