Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2019, Malta's main indicators increased by 11.0% compared to 2018, reaching 8.9%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 8.8%.

Malta ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 90.7% (from 4.7% in 2014).
