Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2025, Malta's employment rates by educational attainment level decreased by 0.1% compared to 2024, reaching 90.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 88.1%.

Malta ranks 9th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.5% (from 88.5% in 2020).
