Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2016, Malta's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 7.8% compared to 2015, reaching 10.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 20.7%.

Malta ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 19.5% (from 13.3% in 2011).
