At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2023, Netherlands's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 12.0% compared to 2022, reaching 13.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.9%.

Netherlands ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.2% (from 13.5% in 2018).
