Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 8.2% compared to 2009, reaching 3.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.4%.

Netherlands ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 58.1% (from 2.5% in 2005).
