Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2010, Austria's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.5% compared to 2009, reaching 31.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 14.4%.

Austria ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 28.1% (from 24.4% in 2005).
