Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 20.2% compared to 2018, reaching 8.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 19.9%.

Netherlands ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 64.1% (from 5.4% in 2014).
