Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2023, Netherlands's unemployment by sex and age increased by 7.9% compared to 2022, reaching 8.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.6%.

Netherlands ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 7.9% (from 8.9% in 2018).
