Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2007, Poland's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 5.7% compared to 2006, reaching 44.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 62.4%.

Poland ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 6.7% (from 41.6% in 2002).
